Fine Art: Icarus

Who's Icarus? Had to ask hubby, he was more into Greek mythology than me. So Icarus is the son of Daedalus who made wings out of wax and bird feathers. One day they were flying but Icarus was too ambitious to fly high against his father's warning so the wax melted and Icarus fell into the ocean and drowned. So what's the moral of the story? Ahm, don't use wings with wax? Lol!

I loved Greek mythology growing up. All the stories...they were so great to read.

I also like the painting by Pieter Bruegel of the "Fall of Icarus".

You can just see his legs there in the water on the bottom right.
