Fine Art: Bar at the Folies-Bergere, 1882

When I started the blog, I just knew some few artists, mostly the most familiar ones like van Gogh or Monet. But obviously there are still more to discover and once discovered it's worth a feature so today, it's my first time to post a Manet. Somehow, I see a Renoir and a Monet combined in his work.

well, Manet is having a Levenstein distance of 1 only towards Monet, so they should be pretty close :D (showing off some geekness here, hehe)

Is that Suzanne Valadon, the model and herself a painter in that time?
Talk about geekiness! ;-)

I love Manet. Olympia is my favorite nude. It's such a powerful portrait.d
