Photography: Windows and Flowers Line the Canals of San Marco

Beautiful! It won't be too long anymore when the neighborhood balconies will be full of flowers. It's like competition who would have the most beautiful balcony :-). I like that always. It makes the surrounding really pretty. It's been actually late this year. Winter is staying too long.

Photography: Hang in There

This is sooo cute. Today, got to let go of my stuff toys. It's time. Mixed feelings of sadness and happiness. I'm sad because they were really a company the past years but it's okay I know that some children will be so happy to have them. They'll go to a day care center and that kind of eased my mind.

Photography: Singer and Actress Barbra Streisand

Wow, she still looks very young here but actually aside from some wrinkles, her face didn't really change a lot. One of those lucky ones to age gracefully. I guess most of us wish for that but how? I know the answers and you also know too, just some basics but always hard to do.

Photography: African Elephant Babies with Large Ears

These two are sooo cute! They remind me of Dumbo. There was a baby elephant here in the zoo but it was some years ago so it must have grown up now. They named it Ming Jung, Cologne dialect for "my boy". Hm, it sounds more chinese or korean than german.

Photography: Actress Brigitte Bardot

She was sooo pretty. She has a bit of a Kate Moss look, I don't know, maybe the eyes. I've just been looking at some vintage photographs of someone I know and it's fun to see that person in her early years. In some years, I will have to dig my own photo boxes and see how I had been in the past :-).

Photography: Bluebells Flowering

Wow, this is a lovely sight and love the colors too! I've seen bluebells at a nearby store, really pretty flowers. Must be Spring already! It feels and smells like one. I'm so excited to try out my cam. It just got returned from repair. It's all ready for Spring!

Photography: The Garden Cat

Lucky kitty to be surrounded by these beautiful flowers and probably under a clear, blue sky. I'm so jealous. I'm desperately waiting for spring. Would love to bring my cam for a walk to the botanical garden. I would also get such lovely blooms there in spring.

Photography: Healthy Body, 1935

Beautiful composition! And I love that hat. Currently don't have a reason to wear one unless it's a shield against the rain. I prefer umbrella for that. Urgh, really looks nasty outside and it's gonna continue to be wet and cold the next days. Got to be aware with cold and flu, don't have that healthy body like below :-).

Photography: Nature Scene of Blue Hydrangeas in Blythedale Park

I saw some hydrangeas in the shops already. Hm, I smell spring and summer coming :-). Love these flowers; they're sooo pretty specially the blue ones. I haven't seen such a big plant though just those things planted in the pots. Got to check botanical garden if they have one.

Photography: Women Carrying Basket on Head

Very nice colors! Their clothes stand out with that lovely yellow. This color reminds me of a very delicious and juicy mango, yum! It got me craving for one :-). I actually got some the other day. Not the yellow mangoes though but they were okay.

Photography: Vivien Leigh Placing Her Oscar on Her Mantelpiece at Home

It's Oscar season. Do you have your favorites yet? I had been watching the award show the past years. It's always exciting to see winning moments. Read it somewhere that there'll be longer speeches :-). I don't know if that's good or not. To those who would get the statue, more chances to thank some people but for the viewers, longer wait :-).

Photography: Mediterranean Beach in Cinque Terre, Liguria, Italy

I really love umbrellas. Most likely because of the shape and the colors. I carry one always in my bag but that's because it could rain here anytime :-). This photo reminds me of our trip to Italy when we were searching for a nice beach close to Pisa. We stopped by one and it was so crowded. Umbrellas were lined up like this and they were all occupied. So we decided to look for another one and ended up in a more deserted and wider beach.

Photography: Water Droplets

Ah sunshine today with very clear, blue sky. It looks warm but still freezing. The past days, it was constantly snowing keeping the neighborhood covered with not so thick snow. Today, everything is melting. Drops from melted snow kept forming some icicles a while ago but they're gone now. Hope this signifies warmer upcoming days.

Photography: Placing the Ball Down Clown's Mouth at Sunbury Show

These clowns are in Australia as you can see in the title but right now here in Cologne is the big annual carnival. City should be crowded, people in costumes, parade in the morning... festive. Would have loved to be there to take some photos but can't stay in the cold for too long. Who would have thought we still have snow in Cologne in February, brrr. Kölle Alaaf!

Photography: Wooden Canoes Laden with Goods for Sale at Floating Market, Damnoen Saduak, Thailand

I love the colors and I love going to markets getting fresh fruits and veggies. I love the thought that there are plenty to eat afterwards when I get home. Somehow it's not the same if someone is doing the shopping for me because when I buy something, I'm already imagining how it would taste like. Food has to be enjoyed from the moment you buy them.

Photography: Monochromatic Image of an Adult and Child Playing Chess

Wow, I love this image! Someday I'm gonna teach my kids how to play chess too. Hubby got a very cute, pocket chess set that I'm keeping and that'll come along with me whereever I'm going :-). But yeah how did I learn chess? By merely looking. I learned the moves but of course it took some time to be good at it.

Photography: Storks and Kilimanjaro

This is such a beautiful photo; makes my mind travel. I get to see a flock of birds visiting here in the neighborhood but they're always too far to shoot. Shoot means with my cam ;-). I'm a bird-friendly person. It's fascinating to see a bare tree full of chubby burdies resting. Really a pity that the tree is a bit far.

Photography: Kitten Standing in Doorway

The kitten is cute but what really catches my attention is the color of the door :-). Sorry cute kitten :-). Yeah it brings back wonderful memories in Greece. Blue and white are their colors. Colors that give the feeling of being close to the ocean. I absolutely love that feeling!

Photography: Peace

I just wanna have peace with my body at the moment. Got 2 major infections and it's going crazy. I barely had sleep last night; everytime I move, I wake up. Now I'm having a big head and feeling tired. Hope these go away soon; really got so much to do.

Peace

Photography: Gorges du Bras de Caverne

I will love to see such magnificient scenery but I guess that'll require me to go hiking. Got to be really fit for that. Looking at this image feels like breathing fresh and very clean air. It's been a while since I've done that but I guess I'll be ready this week or the next. So excited to go out again! The thought makes my Monday happy :-).
