Fine Art: The Dance

I love the colors and the movement on this one. It gives me the feeling of being energized. Well, got to have lots of energy to dance (and guts when naked). And this formation reminds me of a favorite novel when the character couldn't stop herself from dancing and joined the group of dancers to welcome Summer (who was a girl). That made Winter (the guy) mistook her as "the" Summer. And it got complicated from that point on :-).

Fine Art: Pasiphae Embracing an Olive Tree

Got curious who Pasiphae is. Thought could be someone from Greek mythology because of the presence of an olive tree :-). Yeah I think of Greece when it comes to olives. But I'm right she was the daughter of Helios, the Sun. But makes me wonder why she's hugging a tree.

Fine Art: Beasts of the Sea

Talking of beasts of the sea, just watched a clip about a 6-meter, white shark in Australia (which still on the loose so better watch out) biting another smaller shark. You know that when you bite an apple (clean cut), the smaller shark was looking like that. Quite a beastie huh!

Fine Art: King's Sadness, c.1952

No no, I'm not really sad because I can't enjoy autumn properly :-). Well, a bit but it's a relief that even kings do get sad. Though I wonder why. Must be tough with all those rulings and things. But this king here must feel lucky to be in a Matisse artwork. I would be :-).

Fine Art: Purple Robe

I love the colors here and of course purple's one of my favorites. I'm still not that brave enough to wear something with colors though :-) but I like the thought that maybe someday I'd wear something with colors aside from my usual gray and black, hehe.

Fine Art: Ice Skaters Gliding Start

I really feel so dumb with this one. It took me a while to find out why this is called Ice Skaters Gliding Start. Yeah I know, I got all the hints I needed but still twas hard. Hubby had to help me even, thanks to him :-). He's always nice to me but especially today because I baked him lasagne :-).

Fine Art: Icarus

Who's Icarus? Had to ask hubby, he was more into Greek mythology than me. So Icarus is the son of Daedalus who made wings out of wax and bird feathers. One day they were flying but Icarus was too ambitious to fly high against his father's warning so the wax melted and Icarus fell into the ocean and drowned. So what's the moral of the story? Ahm, don't use wings with wax? Lol!
