Wow, this is beautiful! I love the details on that clothing (dunno what it's called) being blown by the wind. Looks stormy but she still looks pretty :-). And talking of storms, we had a strong one hitting several countries in Europe. Glad we were inside the house, these double-glass windows make all the noise stay outside. Today, a great weather is compensating. Love it!

Fine Art: The Naiad

Looking at Waterhouse's paintings gives me a feeling of reading a storybook. I wonder if there's really a book with these characters you see below, The Lady of Shalott or The Mermaid. The Soul of the Rose looks like a romance novel. They all tell a story and I'm curious. Hope to feature more Waterhouse in the future.

She is really beautiful! All the knights, princes and kings were smitten by her timeless beauty... hm, something like that :-). Of course I like this kind of stories especially if they make a movie out of it because somehow I'm lazy to read but watching, I've got to see something and it's finished in 2 hours :-). Anyway, if you want to see the lady once more, here's The Lady of Shalott, 1888.

Waterhouse's paintings are like photographs. They look so real! I wish to see his original works one day. It would definitely be an experience. This one's so enchanting like in the movies or the movies got inspiration from this one :-). Somehow I'm kind of expecting a story... there was once a beautiful lady... Hm, it may take a while to finish.

Fine Art: A Mermaid, 1900

I'm a huge fan of stories, they could be about giants, dwarfs, elves, prince, princesses and yeah mermaids, I love them all. A story especially a good one is a world of its own. You enter it at your own risk ;-), you get fascinated with what's inside, curious until you realize you're believing in them. Ok, I'm not that far yet, maybe just up to the fascination part, hehe. And why mermaids? Because they're gorgeous!

Fine Art: The Soul of the Rose, 1908

I had a thought about flowers that if I'd be asked what's my favorite, it came to me that I actually don't have one :-). I love flowers, most of them especially the one with fragrance like gardenia or roses. The smells simply bring me back old memories as if there just rushing back in my head. Maybe the lady below feels the same too :-). Looks like.
